Can we sue school management?

My coming 70 years old mum was working as a cleaner in one of the school in Singapore. She was knocked down by one of the female student at work place and got a fractured arm. She was on MC for about 2 months with salary. However, on the 1st day she went back to work, she was fired as they claimed that she is not fit for the work. Can I sue the school management for terminating her for got injured at work? Or the lady who cause her injury for compensation? She lost her job as well as the ability to work. If yes, who or where can I approach?

I don’t think you have any legal standing in this matter. It’s up to her. Was she not put on some type of worker’s compensation? If nothing works have her contact a local newspaper … they love this type of human interest story. It sells papers! Bad publicity may make the ‘suits’ change their mind. Good luck to her!

Oh! this is wrongful termination .Please seek the advice of a competent lawyer and claim heavy damages from the uninformed school to make the old mum an everlasting millionaire, of couse, the school authority does not have right to do that obnoxious, shameful act. Help me ask the old woman to be patient until her million rolls in.The school should have given the woman compensation. If the accident was not due to the student`s carelesness the student can go free.
