Would you be worried and what would you do?

by admin on July 1, 2010

My husband had a workplace accident yesterday where he injured his foot. He told his boss but his boss didn’t want to deal with it until this morning. My husband left for work an hour late, at 7am, to go report this injury, get the necessary papers and go to the hospital.

On a normal day, he’s home by 2:30pm.

So, it’s now 4:20pm and my husband still is not home. I have called his mom’s house and the hospital. The hospital told me 45 minutes ago that he was already discharged but wouldn’t say what time he was discharged at. We only live a 10 minute drive away from the hospital.

I have not seen or heard from my husband since 7am this morning. He hasn’t even called.

I am very worried now, as it is not like him to do this, especially with an injury.

Would you be worried?

What should I do?
No, we don’t have a cell phone. His mom hasn’t seen or heard from him, he normally would have called by now. I even called his work.
I would, but he has the only car.

i would calm down and take a deep breathe i am sure there is a logical explanation for this maybe he went to take his paper to work and got tied up there and has not had the chance to call. everything will be ok watch!

Well drive the route to the hospital and see if he’s broken down or something. Just be sure to leave a note in case he comes home in the meantime.

Do you have a friend or neighbor that can give you a ride to the hospital or to his job? What about taking a train/cab? And definitely leave a note at home in case you cross paths. Try to get a cell so you don’t have to worry about unexpected things like this anymore. Nowadays they are fairly inexpensive. Good luck!!!

first thing, calm down…i know its hard, i’m the type of person who’s imagination runs wild when it comes to ‘not knowing’…
can you call his office/workplace to see if they have seen him and whats going on, if they know. If anyone there could help you find him.
is there anyone you can call that can help you go out in search of him?
for the future tho i would HIGHLY suggest you and him get a cell phone, especially now when the baby is SO CLOSE to coming!!!
THey do make the pre-paid ones if you cant afford the monthly bill…i wish you good luck and **hugs** for comfort!
